Sperm develops in the seminiferous tubules of each testis. These tubules are highly coiled structures where spermatogenesis occurs, which is the process of producing sperm cells from germ cells. The seminiferous tubules contain Sertoli cells that support and nourish the developing sperm, as well as germ cells that undergo division and differentiation to form mature sperm.

The vas deferens is responsible for transporting sperm from the epididymis to the urethra, but it is not involved in the actual development of sperm. The epididymis is where sperm mature and are stored after they are produced in the seminiferous tubules, but it is not the site of their development.
